MCSO’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is a comprehensive, twelve-week intensive program involving a medical evaluation, prescribed exercise, risk modification, education and counseling. Patients benefit from learning how to manage stress, begin an exercise program and lose weight. Frequently symptoms of angina or shortness of breath as well as the risk of premature death can be diminished. The cost of healthcare is reduced by avoiding future hospital stays and expensive procedures. Most medical insurance and Medicare cover the program’s charges and the support group meetings are free.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. — 3 p.m.
The Cardiac Rehab Support Group meets on an as needed basis, please contact Cardiac Rehabilitation at (580) 931-2012 for details. A physician referral is required.
